What CalorieSnap collects

Account email and password hash (or your Apple/Google sign-in identifier)
Profile data such as height, weight, age, gender, activity level, goal, language, bedtime, and report preferences
Food photos uploaded for AI calorie estimation
Meal records, estimated calories, macros, portions, and correction history
Step counts and estimated calories burned (including Apple Health data you choose to share)
Manual workout/activity, hydration, and weight entries
Daily journal signals such as hunger, energy, mood, sleep quality, stress, and notes
Optional medication timing and check-in information if you choose to use metabolic-care tracking
Friends, challenges, and streak data if you use social features
Coach conversations, if you use the AI coach
Subscription status

How data is used

Estimating food calories and macros, and improving your future scans from your own corrections
Calculating daily calorie targets and showing daily and bedtime balance reports
Estimating calorie burn from steps and logged activity
Powering the AI coach's answers and proactive reminders with your own numbers
Showing friends only what you opt in to share (display name, streak, challenge progress, never your food, weight, or calorie details)
Sending reminders you control from the app's settings
Maintaining account access and subscription status

Health and nutrition notice

CalorieSnap provides calorie and activity estimates. These estimates are approximate and are not medical advice. If you have medical nutrition needs, follow your clinician's guidance.

Third-party services

Food photos, voice-log transcripts, and coach conversations are processed by our AI providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic, depending on configuration) solely to produce your estimates and coach replies. Barcode and food-database lookups query Open Food Facts. We do not sell your data.

Data deletion

You can delete your account from the app (Profile → Privacy & data). Self-service deletion removes the account, profile, meals, meal photos, activity records, steps, weight entries, hydration logs, journal entries, medication logs, connected-device records, daily reports, coach conversations, social connections, push devices, refresh tokens, and subscription state from CalorieSnap. App Store server-notification audit rows are retained only without any link to the deleted account.
