CalorieSnap Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CalorieSnap app and website ("CalorieSnap", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using CalorieSnap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use CalorieSnap. You also agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. What CalorieSnap is

CalorieSnap is an iOS app that helps you log meals, estimate calories and macros from food photos, track activity, and see where your day is heading before bed. You review and can edit every estimate. Some features, such as photo food scanning and the bedtime balance check, require a paid subscription. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Estimates, not medical advice

Calorie, macro, and activity numbers in CalorieSnap are estimates. They are approximate, not exact, and they are not medical, nutritional, or health advice. CalorieSnap is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always use your own judgment, and talk with a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet, health, or any medication. If you have a medical condition or specific nutrition needs, follow your clinician's guidance.

4. Your account and responsibilities

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use CalorieSnap.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Provide accurate information so your estimates and reports are useful to you.
Tell us at support@mycaloriesnap.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions, trial, and billing

CalorieSnap Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. Current pricing is $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices shown in the App Store at the time of purchase govern your transaction and may vary by region.

Apple manages all billing, payment, renewal, and cancellation through your Apple ID. We do not process or store your payment details.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings. The trial window is shown before you purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Apple's standard subscription and refund policies apply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using CalorieSnap.
Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or tamper with the app or its security.
Upload content you have no right to share, or that is harmful, abusive, or misleading.
Use automated means to access the service in ways that disrupt it or other users.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.

7. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the content you add, such as food photos, meals, and notes. You give us a limited license to process that content so we can provide the service to you, for example to produce your estimates and reports. CalorieSnap, including its name, software, design, and brand, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our brand or software beyond using the app.

8. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how it is used, the third-party AI providers that process food photos and coach conversations, and how to delete your account and data. By using CalorieSnap you agree to that policy.

9. Disclaimers

CalorieSnap is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that estimates are accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that it will meet a specific goal. You use CalorieSnap at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalorieSnap is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You can stop using CalorieSnap and delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Privacy & data). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue after termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use CalorieSnap after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
