Frequently asked questions
What to know before you start.
Clear answers about estimates, plans, subscriptions, nutrition tracking, privacy, and platform availability.
Are photo estimates exact?
No. Photo results are estimates. CalorieSnap shows an estimated range and lets you review foods, portions, calories, and available nutrition details.
How does CalorieSnap begin?
Download free on the App Store. Snap a meal, review the calorie range, and see tonight's balance. Goal to Plan can set a starting plan or tracking direction when you want one.
Does everyone receive a calorie target?
No. A calorie target appears only when the selected path and safety inputs support one. People can also choose to track nutrition without selecting a weight goal.
Can CalorieSnap track protein and macros?
CalorieSnap can show protein, carbohydrates, and fat when the underlying meal and account data support them. It does not promise a prescribed protein target for every user.
What does the AI nutrition coach do?
The AI nutrition coach uses your plan and logged day to provide general-wellness guidance about meals, patterns, and training basics. It is not medical care.
How does the free download and subscription work?
CalorieSnap is free to download. Eligible new subscribers can start with a 14-day free trial, then continue for $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year through Apple. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility and shows any trial, localized price, and renewal terms before purchase.
Does CalorieSnap connect to Apple Health?
Yes. Apple Health connections are optional and read-only. You choose which supported information CalorieSnap may read.
Is CalorieSnap available on Android?
Not yet. CalorieSnap is available on iPhone, and Android is marked as coming soon without a Google Play download link.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Account-data export and account deletion are available from Privacy and Data in the app.
