Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This notice explains how Reymans Technologies LLC collects, uses, and shares consumer health data through CalorieSnap, and how you can exercise your rights under applicable law. Consumer health data includes the health-related information you provide and information derived from your use of the app.
Categories collected and purposes
- Body measurements, age, sex or gender, activity level, goals, nutrition preferences, and calorie or macro targets, to personalize your requested tracking features.
- Meal photos, descriptions, nutritional estimates, corrections, food searches, and diary records, to identify foods, log meals, and calculate reports. If separately contributed, a selected corrected photo meal may be used to train food recognition.
- Steps, active energy, exercise, heart rate, sleep, weight, and related summary values from permitted health integrations or manual entries, to display activity and trends and estimate calorie balance.
- Hydration, fasting records, hunger, energy, mood, stress, journal notes, and optional medication tracking, to provide the features you choose.
- Agent conversations, voice inputs, messaging content, and relevant diary context, to answer questions, transcribe inputs, prepare or save requested records, and deliver enabled reminders.
- Information about your use of health-related features, account or installation identifiers, and derived nutrition or activity patterns that can be linked to you, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot those features and, with the applicable permission, measure product use.
Sources
We receive health data directly from what you enter, photograph, dictate, or send; from Apple Health or Health Connect when you permit access; from messaging services when you link a channel; and from calculations and inferences produced from those inputs. Support receives health information only if you include it in a request. You should avoid including unnecessary medical information.
Categories shared and recipients
Hosting, database, storage, and support processors receive the account and health content needed to operate or support the requested service. AI processors (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or Google Gemini, depending on the feature and configuration) may receive submitted photos, text, voice, and relevant diary context. OpenAI processes optional voice transcription. Food lookup providers receive search terms or barcode queries.
For linked messaging, Twilio, Meta's WhatsApp service, and mobile carriers process phone numbers, message or photo content, replies, and delivery data. For enabled notifications, Expo and Apple or Google receive delivery tokens and notification content, which can include your enabled health or activity summaries. A third-party assistant you connect receives the permitted nutrition information you request through it.
With the applicable analytics choice, PostHog receives categorical usage events and random installation/session identifiers, not meal photos, food names, or health samples. Diagnostic processors receive technical reports rather than intentional health-value submissions. Payment providers receive subscription records, not your diary. We do not sell consumer health data or authorize its use for third-party targeted advertising. We do not share consumer health data with an affiliate for its independent use.
Disclosures required by law or otherwise permitted by an applicable statutory exception remain subject to that law. A business transfer does not remove the recipient's applicable health-data obligations.
Your health-data rights
Where the applicable health-data law provides them, you may confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your health data; access it; request the legally required list and contact details of recipients; withdraw consent to collection or sharing; and request deletion. Collection and sharing requiring consent must have the applicable separate permission, unless a statutory exception applies, such as processing necessary to provide a product or service you requested. A general acceptance of our Terms does not supply that permission.
Use the app's Privacy & data controls or email support@mycaloriesnap.com. You may request deletion without deleting unrelated information where the law permits. We verify requests using information reasonably necessary to protect your account. You do not need to create a new account. We respond within the applicable deadline and explain any permitted extension or refusal.
Account deletion removes the app records described in our Privacy Policy and queues stored photos for cleanup. Provider-held records require separate handling; contact support to include them in your request. We handle required processor instructions, recipient notices, and any lawful retention exceptions as part of that process. Backup deletion follows applicable legal deadlines.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response or emailing support with the subject "Privacy appeal". We explain our decision within the applicable deadline and provide further complaint options where required. Your right to contact a competent data-protection authority remains unaffected. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
